Dorothy "Dot" Gunby

Dot was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great- grandmother. She loved to sew for her family and friends.

Dot loved her family deeply. She never met a stranger and always made everyone feel welcome when they entered her home. Many lives were touched by this wonderful woman. Dot lived a long, full life and will be missed by all who knew her.

Dot is survived by two sons, Byron Gunby, and Jeff Gunby (Joycelyn); grandchildren, Christopher (Shannon) Whitaker, Scott Gunby, Caroline Gunby and Candice Sanders, Kyle (Kelsey) Gunby, Bailey Gunby and future grandson-in-law, Logan Gifford; numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death in death by her husband, Clifton "Sonny" Gunby; daughter, Judith "Judy" Whitaker; son, Edward "Eddie" Gunby; grandson, Chad Whitaker; great-granddaughter, Mercedes Sanders; longtime friend, Peggy Voth; parents, Edward B. Kleinpeter and Louisa Irene Carmena; and siblings, Nora K. Erwin, Julia Kleinpeter, Mary Kleinpeter Hill, Edward B. Kleinpeter, Jr., Hagen Kleinpeter, Adeline Kleinpeter Bargas, Helena Kleinpeter Barron, Thomas Kleinpeter

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 8th, at Greenoaks Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 pm and continues Wednesday morning at 10am until religious services at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest next to her husband and daughter, in Greenoaks Funeral Home & Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Christopher Whitaker, Kyle Gunby, John Harris, Andy Wheat, Jimmy Hall and Bret Hall, Sr.
