Dorothy C. Ringswald, 82, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, May 14, 2010, surrounded by her family in fulfillment of her wishes. She was born Dec. 7, 1927, to Thomas and Mary Murphy Conway, in Louisville, Ky. She is survived by daughters, Janice Burdette, of Baton Rouge, Trish Terry, of Houston, and Nancy Ringswald, of Baker; son, Andy Ringswald, of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Marci Burdette, of Austin, Texas, Eugene Terry, of Houston, Christopher and Matthew Ringswald, both of Baton Rouge, and Jill Ramagos and her husband Shane; and great-grandchildren, Dakota, Jacob and Kaitlyn. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene W Ringswald Sr; son, Eugene W Ringswald Jr.; sister, Mary Gates; brother, Thomas Conway; and daughter-in-law, Jan Ringswald. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Sunday May 16, was from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home Monday from 1 p.m. until service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker.
