
A retired machinist for Plant Machine Works with 18 years of service and retired from Prager Machine Works with 23 years of service, he passed away on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at Ochsner Medical Center-Baton Rouge. He was 75, a resident of Baton Rougeand a native of the Chacahoula community in Terrebonne Parish. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of IAM Machinist Union. He is survived by his wife, Alice Tyler Olivier; two daughters, Anne Olivier and Cecile O'Sullivan; two sons, Jerome and David Olivier; stepdaughter, Lyndi Paludan; three sisters, Marion Olivier, Pearl Wilcox and Beverly Tucker; three brothers, Elton, Eugene and Eric Olivier; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of first marriage, Leona Olivier; parents, Katie and Sylviere Olivier; and sister, Lorraine Richard. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 100 La. 311, Schriever, on Thursday, March 1, from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Joshua Rodrigue, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Foundation.
