
He died at his home Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, after many months of illnesses. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Bordelon McNemar; his mother, Gracie Porta McNemar; children, Steve, Stacey, Bonnie Budyach and Adrian McNemar; four sisters, Maxine Ryan, of West Hills, Calif., Nancy McNemar, SSND, of Chatawa, Miss., Joy Baker, of Mesa, Ariz., and Mary Jane "MJ" Fabre, of Central; stepchildren, Heather Cavalier and son-in-law, Jason Cavalier; two uncles, Lloyd Porta and Ray "Coon" Porta; six brothers-in-law, Tim Fabre, of Central, Robert McCarver, M.D. of, Mesa, Hubert Bordelon, James Bordelon, Mark Bordelon and Wayne Bordelon; two sisters-in-law, Linda Bordelon and Diana Shelton; 16 grandchildren, Annalee Starks, Jacob McNemar, Stephanie McNemar, Caitlin McKeon, McKenzi McNemar, Caleb Hanna, Luke Hanna, Danielle McNemar, Bradley McNemar, Hayley, Alexis Budyach, Lynk Strickland, Emily McNemar, Alexis Timmas, Lakyn Murphy and Jax Murphy; nieces and nephews, Michelle, of Westchester, Michael Julian, of Ridgewood, Calif., David Baker, of Phoenix, Joe Baker, of Portland, Ore., Chris Fabre, Ben Fabre and Jonathan Fabre. In addition, he had numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph McNemar Sr.; and a son, Daniel Joseph McNemar. Ralph was president of two Baton Rouge Men's' Bowling Leagues and was recently named to the Greater United States Bowling Hall of Fame. In addition to being an avid bowler, he was also a fisherman. Visiting at Open Door Baptist Church, Denham Springs, Thursday, Nov. 17, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Dennis Schaffer. Graveside services at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Higgins Family Cemetery in Liberty, Miss. Rabenhorst Funeral Home East is in charge of arrangements.
