Edward “Ed” Futch, resident of St. Amant for 35 years, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. He was born July 4, 1937 in Venice, FL. Ed is survived by his wife, Theresa Theriot Futch; daughters, Patty Bercegeay, Natalie Istre and husband Ken, and Terry David and husband Ricky; grandchildren, Jonathan Futch, Robert Levinger, Allyson Teague, Justin Istre, Nicholaus Istre, Ricky Istre, Jared David, and Courtney Comeaux; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Frank Futch and wife Laverne; sister, Eloise Hayden and husband Jim; and special adopted family, Erik and Elvira Sanchez and their daughters, Itzel and D’aeli. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward “Eddie” Futch; and parents, Frank and Lois Futch. Visitation will be Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Greenoaks Funeral Home at 10:00 am until the Funeral Service begins at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
