
A retired bookbinder and a native and resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at age 89. Edward was a U.S. Army veteran of the Pacific Theater during World War II. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church on Friday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Thomas C. Ranzino. Interment will follow with military honors at Roselawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his three sons, Ed Harrison and his wife Peggy, Wayne Harrison and his wife Beverly, Dennis Harrison and his wife Lynn; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Price Harrison; daughter, Kathleen Lard; parents, Elmer Lee Sr. and Lillie Hernandez Harrison; sister, Beverly Bueche; brothers, Claude Harrison and Elmer Lee Harrison Jr. Pallbearers will be Derek Harrison, Keith Harrison, Scott Harrison, Don Luther, Luke Hidalgo and Leon Mathes. He was a member of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, American Legion Nicholson Post No. 38, Knights of Columbus Council No. 3298 and UCT.
