Elizabeth Anne Blake, a loving daughter, sister, cousin, and friend, went home to be in the Lord's loving care, after a lengthy illness, on April 14, 2014. Elizabeth was born on May 18, 1973 in The Bronx, New York, to Robert and Francine Blake. Elizabeth and her family moved from New York, to Baton Rouge in 1976 and then to Central in 1992. She attended Glen Oaks High School and graduated in 1991. She later trained and received her state and national certification as a pharmacy technician. Elizabeth worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Our Lady of the Lake for several years. As a child, Elizabeth played softball at St. Louis King of France along with her younger brother Robert and her younger sister Katharine. She loved to go hiking and white water rafting with family and friends and took many memorable vacations with them to Colorado. She always enjoyed outdoor activities in general. She was loved by anyone who met her and will be greatly missed by all. Elizabeth is survived by her loving parents, Robert and Francine Blake, formerly of The Bronx, New York, now residing in Central, Louisiana; a brother, Robert Blake, of Lafayette, Louisiana; a sister, Katharine Blake, of Central, Louisiana; an aunt & godmother, Maryanne Thagard and husband John, of Zanesville, Ohio; and numerous cousins, extended family and friends. Elizabeth is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Elizabeth Jean and Anthony J. Lupi; paternal grandparents, Anna and Robert Weygandt; an uncle, Anthony J. Lupi, Jr; and two cousins, Anthony Patrick Lupi and Joseph Anthony Maltbie. Pallbearers will be Robert Blake, Matthew Colello, Thomas Colello, Bragg Boyd, Trey Bennett, Brent Miller, and Troy Perrault. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, from 5-9pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, April 21, 2014, from 9:30-11:00 am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, with mass held at 11:00 am. Greenwell Springs, Louisiana. Following mass, funeral procession to final resting place with graveside services at Greenoaks Cemetery, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
