Elizabeth Ann Flowers Lee, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. She was born on April 18, 1939, the only daughter of Melville and Ivor Flowers. Ann earned her degree as a Lab Technician as she devoted her life to caring for others, not just professionally but in her home as well. Her kindness, steady hands, and compassionate spirit touched countless lives in the medical field. She was the cherished wife of Dr. Charles Lee, and together they built a life centered on love, family, and faith. Ann’s greatest joy was her family. She and Charles raised four children: Dr. Sharon Lee-Barksdale (Dr. Phillip Barksdale), Charles Leo “Rod” Lee Jr., Kathleen “Kat” Evers (Wendell Evers), and Margaret “Maggie” Powell (Guild Powell). Her love and legacy live on in her grandchildren: Kyle Evers, Dr. Mike Evers, Robbie Clark, Emma Little, Mary Beth Sandroni (Dr. Peyton Sandroni), Charles Barksdale, Charles Lee III, and Thomas Lee. Each of them carries a part of her spirit, her warmth, and her unwavering devotion to family. Ann created a home full of respect, loyalty, and love. She made each person who entered feel seen, valued, and cared for, leaving a lasting impression of grace and kindness. We were all blessed to have Ann in our lives, and while her absence leaves a deep ache, her love and example will continue to guide us. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, followed by services beginning at Rabenhorst East Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in the Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Resthaven Gardens, 11801 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, all officiated by Father Bryan of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Patterson Place, a community for special needs adults, at PattersonPlaceAL.org.
