Ellen Marie Gauthier

Ellen Marie Gauthier, age 55, of Central, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025. Born on April 11, 1970, in Baker, Louisiana, Ellen was known for her spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family.

Ellen brought joy and energy wherever she went. She was an animated and lively presence, with a quick wit and a contagious laugh that could brighten even the dullest day. Whether she was telling a story, making someone smile, or simply enjoying time with loved ones, Ellen’s vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She had a deep affection for animals and a lifelong habit of reading the newspaper, something she especially cherished doing alongside her parents.

Ellen is survived by her beloved daughter, Kaitlynn Gauthier; her devoted mother, Carolyn Gauthier; her brother, Barry Gauthier; nieces Amber Barrett and Lauren Barber; nephews Jacob Gauthier and Bryce Gauthier; and many extended family members who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Bruce Gauthier; her sister, Mona G. Barber; her sister-in-law, Angela Gauthier; and her niece, Claire Gauthier.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Rd, from 10:30am until Memorial Mass at 11:30am.
