Emile George Peltier, Jr., died peacefully entering into eternal life on December 8, 2021, at the age of 86. Born in Carville, Louisiana on May 10, 1935, and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Giambrone Peltier; his parents, Blanche and Emile Peltier, Sr.; his siblings, Mary Blanche Marchand, John Selby Peltier, Robert Emmett Peltier, and Alford Charles Peltier. He is survived by his remaining siblings; Ollie Waggenspack LeBlanc, Catherine P. Sharp, Carol Peltier, and Linda Landry. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends, especially a favorite niece and brother-in-law, Deborah Marchand and her dad, Merlin Marchand, Sr.
After graduation from Catholic High School, he attended LSU and then entered the US Army. Following his military service, he was employed by the Louisiana Conservation Department. In later years he was the owner of Pel Air Heating and Refrigeration. Visitation will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 3625 Hwy. 75, St. Gabriel, La., on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM conducted by Rev. Charles Landry, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Gabriel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Church Ladies Altar Society, 3625 Hwy. 75, St. Gabriel, La. 70776
