
A retired school-crossing guard with the East Baton Rouge Parish school system, Estelle died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at Gulf States LTAC of Denham Springs. She was 89, a native of Atlanta and a resident of Walker. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., was on Thursday, Sept. 6, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denham Springs, on Friday, Sept. 7, from 1 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Christopher Decker, celebrant. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Lorio Zalunardo and husband Tim; son, Michael Lorio Sr. and wife Linda; sister, Jacqueline Bishop; granddaughter, Shannon Holden; grandson, Michael Lorio Jr.; great-granddaughter, Sierra Schmidt; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Stanley T. Lorio; parents, William L. Weaver and Gertie Brock Weaver; sisters, Adelle Harris, Billie Broome, Sug Bahm and Betty Stevens; brother, Odelle "Buck" Weaver; and infant brother, Otis Weaver. Pallbearers will be Darryl Stevens, Barry Bishop, Perry Duval, Bobby Harris, Randy Bahm, Randy Lorio, Russ Duval and Michael Lorio Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Travis Stevens, Kenneth Harris, Gary Bishop, Larry Stevens, Glynn Stevens and Billy Bahm. The family would like to extend their thanks to her caregiver, Tasha Sibley.
