
"And mother finds her home and heavenly rest." Mary Evelyn Broussard LeBlanc, lovingly known as Maw Maw Blanc, born Feb. 7, 1913, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allie LeBlanc; parents, Wilbert and Eva Broussard; sisters, Thelma Cooper, Claudia Landry and Grace LeBlanc; and a brother, Raleigh Broussard. Survivors include two daughters, Oneita Smith and Eva Miller and husband Ernest; a son, Darryl LeBlanc and wife Jerri; grandchildren, Bryan, David, Joel, Melanie Smith, Mathew Miller, Laurie Conrad, Brad, Todd and Brent LeBlanc; and 15 great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed. She retired in 1973 after 23 years of professional service as lunchroom manager at Woodlawn High School. Evelyn was a faithful, loving servant having taught Sunday school at Central Assembly of God and Highland Park Church of God for many years. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, March 16, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Monday, March 17, from 10 a.m. until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Jack Dyer and the Rev. Ernest Miller. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
