

Faye was called to her heavenly home on October 31, 2022, at the age of 81. She was born in Donaldsonville, Louisiana and lived the rest of her days in Pride, Louisiana. Faye graduated from Central High School in 1958. She retired from the State of Louisiana Department of Public Safety at the age of 72. Faye loved her church and was a dedicated member of Jefferson United Methodist Church for many years. She loved and adored her family and made sure to never miss a single birthday. She enjoyed bowling and was on a team with her husband for many years. She also liked to sew, cook, and was a part of Bridge Clubs. Faye was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and friend, who is deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Kiplyn D. Rufini (John), Lydia “Kaye” Dunlap, and Mary Beth Unruh (Brad); son, Jeffery V. Dunlap (Tamara); grandchildren, Monica M. Larousse (Johnny), Trey Rufini (Amanda), Daniel V. Rufini (Erika), Lindsey Owens (Nathan), Rebecca McCoy, Josiah Dunlap, Cassie Dunlap, and Evan Pierce (Leslie); great-grandchildren, Dalton V. Rufini, Emil Rufini, Michael Rufini, Genevieve Prejean, Isabella Larousse, Jessie Harris, Christian Harris, Anna Leigh Harris, Karson Adams, Connor Dunlap, and Dempsey Tidmarsh, Zachary Larousse; sisters, Lilly Bovard and Bobbie Confer; nieces, Laura Verdin and Terry Easley, nephew, Donald B. Easley. Faye is preceded in death by her loving husband, Vance F. Dunlap; mother, Delta Richardson; sisters, Ann Beach, Janice Laborde, Dale Rochel, and Linda Demoynel; brother, Albert Ashmore; sister-in-law, Janie Ashmore. Pallbearers: John N. Rufini, Trey Rufini, Daniel Rufini, Dalton Rufini, Emil Rufini, Michael Rufini, Skip Verdin, Donald Easley, and Josiah Dunlap. A special thanks to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Dr. Bryan Bienvenu, and staff. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Cancer Services of Baton Rouge. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, November 7, 2022, held in the chapel of Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. The internment will immediately follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
