

Ferdinand (Ferd) Thomas Passantino, 88, surrounded by his family, joined his loved ones in heaven on March 3, 2026. He was born in Plaquemine, LA on October 24,1937 and later resided in Baton Rouge and Denham Springs, LA.
He was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran, a first generation US citizen with parents from Palermo Sicily Italy, and spent more than 50 years serving his community as a barber. He was outgoing, playful, and never met a stranger. He had a big heart and would help anyone in need. Through his work and generosity, he formed countless friendships and touched the lives of many people over the decades.
Ferd shared 61 years of marriage with the love of his life, Gloria Daigle Passantino. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially the time he spent with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and happiness.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Passantino Hebert (Marc), and Lori Passantino Mason (Chad); 3 grandchildren, Grant Hebert, Landon Hebert, and Drake Mason; brother-in-law and son at heart, Darryl Daigle (Shayne); nephew and grandson at heart, Ryne Daigle; and nephew and son at heart, Duane Badeaux.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gaetano and Francis Rizzo Passantino; sister Tena Passantino Badeaux (Roy) and brothers, Joe Passantino (June and Leanna) and Mike Passantino (Lorraine); in-laws Simon and Laura Daigle.
On Monday, March 9, 2026, visitation will be held at 12 pm followed by a funeral service at 2 pm then burial at Greenoaks Funeral and Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association
