He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Larry Estes and Kenneth Mercer, and his aunt, Celeste Estes. He also leaves behind many friends who deeply mourn his passing.
Forrest earned his Bachelor of Science degree from American Public University. He worked as a Project Estimator and Manager for Mill Creek Renewables.
Forrest will be remembered above all for his profound devotion and commitment to his family, to whom he consistently provided compassion, kindness, and steadfast support. He served as an anchor for those around him, touching lives through his generosity of spirit.
Forrest had an enthusiasm and zest for life. He enjoyed several hobbies, including fishing, hunting, playing pool and golf. He was known for his skill on the golf course, though his scores were often a point of contention among his opponents. He was as gifted with a driver as he was with a pool stick, always eager to best his challengers. Throughout all of his pursuits, Forrest exhibited determination, discipline, and a consistent spirit of patience and empathy.
What meant most to Forrest was spending time with the loves of his life – his wife and daughters. In a recent journal entry, he expressed his heartfelt wish to "make my girls happier than they could ever imagine and build a happy and safe home” for them.
The families of Forrest and Savannah express their gratitude and appreciation for the remarkable outpouring of support shared by the Baton Rouge community—a true testament to the strength and unity present during times of adversity.
A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located at 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70815, on December 20, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at the same location, beginning at 2:00 pm.
