Frances Nicolosi Politz

"Frances Nicolosi Politz was called home to the Lord on Monday, June 26, 2017. She passed away peacefully at home in Baton Rouge while surrounded by family at the age of 107. Frances was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge and St. Jude Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her sons, Anthony J. Politz, Jr and wife Catherine, and John Frances Politz; grandchildren, Dr. Dale J. Politz and wife Anisa, Carla Politz, Russell R. Politz and wife Dana, Kimberly Politz, Anthony C. Politz, Jamie Manda, Lisa Manda, John "Jay" Manda, and Toni Head; great-grandchildren Ava Politz, Parker Politz, Juliana Politz, Madisyn Paige McCarthy, Sophia Politz, Hunter Head, and Joey Manda. Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Anthony "Firp" Politz; her parents Antonio Nicolosi and Olivia Vassab Nicolosi; her daughter Mary Lucille Politz Manda; her sister Grace Nicolosi; her brothers John, Russell and Peter Nicolosi. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Quita Posey and Rosa Sellers for the care they provided to Frances and for being such special friends to the family. They would also like to express their appreciation and thanks to Audubon Hospice. Pallbearers will be Anthony C. Politz, John "Jay" Manda, Joey Manda, Russell Politz, Parker Politz, and Hunter Head. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 30 from 9:30 until 11:00 AM with Mass beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church , 9150 Highland Road in Baton Rouge. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, 4045 North Street, Baton Rouge, LA.
