"Frances Elizabeth Prichard Roark went to be with her husband and son on September 27, 2016. She was born on November 22, 1921 in Time, TX to William Milton Prichard and Nannie Lee Chambers. Although she was a native Texan, she bled purple and gold. Frances received her Master's in Social Work from LSU in 1965, specializing in adoptions. MawMaw was always an active member in the Methodist Church, she loved to travel and was a life-long, avid supporter of the LSU Tiger Band. Her son, Eldridge, played sousaphone in the LSU Band in the 60's and her grandson, Chad, played trombone in the 90's. If this tradition continues, her great-grandson, Stuart, will play percussion in the LSU band in the 2020's. She has two brothers, Andrew Jackson "A. J." Grim (deceased) and Douglas Grim, and one sister, Willie Lee Grim Taylor. MawMaw was a loving wife to Vernon Eldridge Roark, Sr. (deceased) for over 50 years and was especially proud of her son, Vernon Eldridge Roark, Jr. (deceased), grandson Chad Stuart Roark & wife Laura and great-grandson Stuart Vernon Roark.
