

Francis C. Pellegrin, 94, left this world peacefully and moved on to his new home with Jesus on January 28, 2021. He was born October 7, 1926 in Houma, LA and later moved to New Orleans, LA where he met his soulmate and the love of his life, Verline. They raised four children, Kenneth Francis Pellegrin (Mona), Mark Colin Pellegrin (Lydia), Gregory Paul Pellegrin (Trish), and Susan Jones; three grandchildren, Heath Pellegrin (Jaelyn) , Nicholas Pellegrin, and Heather Lampos; two great grandchildren, Mikaylie and Kaden. He is preceded in death by his father, Gillis Pellegrin; mother, Nora Boudreaux; brother, Louis; and sister, Laura (Nell) Teuton. Francis was a WW II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from the State of Louisiana after 35 years of service. Francis was an active member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, a member of the Usher Society and Holy Name of Society. He was a 4th degree Grand Knight of KC 969, Extraordinary Minister, and Lecturer. In his spare time he loved wood working. The family expresses their healthful gratitude to the many care providers at Clarity Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Mercy Traditions for Tomorrow or Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge (Palliative Care Foundation). A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 450 Marquette Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70806, on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 beginning at 10:00 am. If you are unable to attend in person, you can join via livestream at olomchurch.com or YouTube.com/olombr. Services will begin with a rosary at 9:30 am led by the Knights of Columbus. Inurnment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park Cemetery.
