

A retired ironworker for Local 623, a resident of Baton Rougeand a native of Harrisonburg, he passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at 9:10 p.m.in Shreveport. He was 64. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, Jan. 8, from 5 p.m.to 9 p.m., with Masonic service at 7 p.m.Visiting atFirstBaptistChurch, Perkins Road near Bluebonnet Blvd., on Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 9 a.m.until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by Dr. Bullard Jones. Graveside service atCentralBaptistChurchCemeteryin Wisner will be at 3 p.m.He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Bryan Troxclair; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Johnny Marvin Allen and Alex and Sara Allen; brother, Vernon Allen; sister, Nora Ruth Wiggins; sister-in-law, Fannie Allen; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rita and Johnie Crooks, David and Bessie Nolan, Bill and Carrie Nolan and Ralph and Glinda Nolan; and grandson, Bryan Troxclair Jr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba D. Allen; parents, John C. and Lillian Moore Allen; and stepfather, Jim Gordon. Pallbearers will be Bryan Troxclair Sr., Bryan Troxclair Jr., Johnie Crooks, Lin Hebert, Timothy Patton and Daniel Pauley. Honorary pallbearer is Johnny Downs. He was a 34-year member and past master of Istrouma Lodge 414 F&AM. George enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
