He served his community as a mechanic for over 40 years, where he owned and operated L&K Auto Service . Larry loved his family more than anything and always sought to put others first. His mere presence would lighten the room and his humor would leave you in tears. Telling jokes and creating laughter was his passion, but he also loved Hot Rods and attending local car shows with his grandson Collin. Larry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathy Beyer; children Darren Beyer and Shelley LeJeune (Todd); grandchildren Collin (Sloane), Jacelyn, and Chandler; brother Johnny; sister-in-law Sylvia and B.J.; nieces and nephews Laura, Bros, Debbie, Keith, Tony, Brad, Sherry, Tonya, Phillip, and Chris. He was preceded in death by his parents Julius “Smig” and Hortense; brothers Julius “Jr”, Billy, and Eddie; brother-in-law Claude. A celebration of life will be held on February 6 in Prairieville, LA. Contact Darren or Shelley for information. Donations can be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in lieu of flowers. Special thanks to Dr. Kellie D. Schmeeckle, Dr. Oubre, Dr. Naveen Sarakanti, Dr. James Morris and PCU nurses of OLOL.
