A resident of Baton Rouge, he died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at age 54. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Graveside service at Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Previously married to Susan Joseph Cobb, he is also survived by a daughter, Rachael Lee Cobb; son, Brent Joseph Cobb; and nephew, Robert T. Clegg. Preceded in death by his parents, George Lee Cobb and Mildred Kilburn Cobb; sister, Tracy Leona Cobb; and half-brother, Tommy Cobb. Pallbearers will be Dan Eastman, Robert Holmes, Robert V. Blanche, M.D., and Richard Rathe. He graduated from LSU with bachelor's and master's degrees in marketing. George loved life and he is finally at peace.
