
"The truest end of life is to know life never ends." John 3:4. Glenn was a loving fiancé, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He passed away at 5:23 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Lane Regional Medical Center, Zachary. He is survived by his fiancée and best friend, Barbara "Babs" Bello; children, Shelley, Brad and Tyler Prescott; stepchildren, Wayne, Shane and Kyle Cassano; grandchildren, Collin Prescott and Kaiden Cassano; mother, Rosa T. Prescott; siblings, Darrell Prescott, Gail Yoes and husband Pat, Janice Baker and husband Everard, Connie Widner and husband Jeff, and Melissa Mistric and husband Mark; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Becky and Louis DeJohn; numerous nieces and nephews; and former spouse of 24 years, Laura S. Prescott. Pallbearers will be Brad Prescott, Tyler Prescott, Wayne, Shane and Kyle Cassano, Chris Jarreau, Chuck Fuller and Louis DeJohn Jr. Honorary pallbearers are F.J. Bello Jr., Cecil Jarreau, Darrell Prescott and Everard Baker. Preceded in death by his father, Hardy T. Prescott Jr. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, Jan. 17, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home chapel on Friday from 8 a.m. until religious service at 9:15 a.m. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary, with military honors conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps. Glenn was an avid duck hunter, fisherman, LSU football fan and an outdoorsman. He loved the outdoors, his loving and loyal companions Max and Cassie, who were his hunting partners, Bridget, Candy, Izzy and Ginger. He also loved his life in the country and taking care of his many fruit trees. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Legion Nicholson Post 38 or Ducks Unlimited.
