

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Jinkie Phillips on Thursday, May 27, 2021. She was 93 years old. Loving wife of Patrick E. Phillips Sr. for 67 years. She was a strong, faith filled woman, a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Her greatest love was spending time with her family. She was an active member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Jinkie retired from the Catholic School System where she taught for over 30 years and continued teaching catechism for many more years.
Survived by her son, Rick Phillips (Patty), daughter in law, Janet Phillips, son, Michael Phillips (Glenda); grandchildren, Kimberly P. Cusimano (Travis), Courtney P. Marston (Gray), Dustin Phillips (Brittany), Nicole P. McGraw (Brannon), Kristen P. Richard (Ben), Amy Phillips, Brandon Phillips, (Jaymi), Camryn Phillips and great grand-babies, Vivian and James Marston, Jack and Charles Cusimano, Ava Kate, Dennin, Nola, and Ellison Phillips, Branson and Brock McGraw, Pearson, Connor, and Drew Richard, Madyson Phillips, Grayson and Noah and Sophie Phillips.
Preceded in death by parents, Cleve and Odile Boudreaux, husband Patrick E. Phillips Sr; son, Dennis Phillips; sister, Odile Lane, and brother Zack Hale.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 1, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church from 10:00am until funeral mass at 12:00pm. Mass will be conducted by Father Michael Moroney. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Alphonsus Food Bank and St. Alphonsus St. Vincent de Paul. The family would like to give a special thanks to her many caregivers especially Jann Spear and her sweet nurse Amanda Rabalais.
