
Gloria Bergeron Vince passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas, to Oliver and Zemma Bergeron on Aug. 7, 1924. She married Oscar Vince in 1944 and they had what she called a "full house," two boys and four girls. She is survived by her children, Pat Vince, Judi Golson and husband Tommy, Monica Carter and husband Keith, Gina Corban and husband Hugh, and Jimmy Vince and wife Rene; son-in-law, Lance McKelvy; grandchildren, Darren, Kevin and Erin Vince, Gia Wallace, Chad and Gene Golson, Ashley Clark, Landon and Garrett Corban, Lindsey Kovacevich, Blake and Lacey McKelvy and Ryan, Joel and Morgan Vince; stepgrandchildren, Kevin Kyes and Troy Sonnier; and great-grandchildren, Patrick, Emily, Riley, Mallory, Kelsey, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Mac, Kamryn, Billy, Joshua and Jacob. Preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; daughter, Teri McKelvy; daughter-in-law, Ginger Vince; brother, George "Bud" Bergeron; and sister, Betty Brecheen. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. She was retired from Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, Oct. 9, was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 2250 Main St., Friday from 9 a.m. until funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. She will be sadly missed by her "full house."
