Harrel Jean Pippin

Harrel Jean passed away while being surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the age of 79. She was born in Kentwood, Louisiana, and lived out the rest of her days in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She lived her life joyfully, with meekness and humility. Her family would describe her as someone who at all times fostered peace and saw the best in everyone and always showing her faith in Jesus through action. Harrel proudly worked in retail at JC Pennys for 25 years and achieved many awards while working there. Her favorite pastime was reading and crossword puzzles. Harrel Jean was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who is will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children, Rondalyn Cannon (Karl), Ronnie Pippin (Christine), and Harold Pippin. Grandchildren, Christopher Pippin, Sophia Fraternali, Andrew Pippin, Nathan Pippin, and Mia Pippin; special love and appreciation to her nephews, Mike Burdine (Patsy), Mark Burdine, and Sean Burdine. Harrel is preceded in death by her parents, John and Josie Christine Rhoden; sisters, JoAnn Burdine and Bettie Ann Rhoden; grand-daddy Farmer and Grand-ma Farmer; Grand-daddy Pitre and Grand-ma Daisy Pitre. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, at 12:00 p.m.
