Harvey W. Ferguson, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the age of 83. Harvey retired from Ciba-Geigy Chemical Corporation, where he worked as an industrial chemist. A former LSU and ULM (Northeast) football player, he was awarded Lineman of the Year on ULM’s (Northeast) championship football team in the 50’s. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Harvey is survived by his children, Joni Nickens and husband, Gordon, Deidra Kolb and husband, David, Pat Patterson and wife, Jeanette; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Jack Ferguson and wife, Betty Carol. He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnne S. Ferguson; daughters, Stephanie Ferguson Johnson and Melanie Ferguson Granger; parents, Jack and Susie Ferguson; and two sisters, Vera Knobloch and Maddie Ruth Craig. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, February 29, 2016 from 10 a.m. until Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
