
Helen Marie Foret died at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008. She worked as a legal secretary for attorney Emile Weber for many years before she retired. She was a native of Baton Rouge, attended St. Joseph's Academy in Baton Rouge and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in Bay St. Louis, Miss. She was an active member of the Opera Guild, Music Club, Woman's Club, Penser et Parler and St. Joseph's Cathedral. Visiting at St. Joseph's Cathedral on Thursday, July 24, from 1 p.m. until funeral Mass at 2 p.m. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery. Survived by her niece, Betty Foret Mohr; and great-nephews and spouses, David M. and Leslie Mohr, Christopher Paul Mohr and Andrew Thomas and Amy Mohr; sister-in-law, Beatrice Foret Haydell; niece-in-law, Donna Foret Zink; great-niece, Mary Frances Despres; great-nephews, Michael Foret and Paul Foret; numerous great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and Cammie Comeaux Carville, Adrienne Anne Comeaux and Jeanne Camille Comeaux, whom she considered her nieces. Preceded in death by her mother, Julia Bourke Foret Rector; father, William Foret; two brothers, Sterling N. and William M. Foret; stepfather, W.H. Rector; cousin, Catherine Boeker; great-nephew, Gerald E. Foret Sr.; two great-nephews, Gerald E. Foret Jr. and Robert Mohr; and lifelong friend, Gertrude Comeaux. Pallbearers will be David M. Mohr Jr., Andrew Thomas Mohr, Paul Foret, Michael Foret, Norman Zink and David J. Carville III. Special thanks to all of her friends from Williamsburg Senior Living Community, her caregivers from Right at Home and the staff of The Butterfly Wing, Hospice of Baton Rouge.
