Helen Rose Comeaux Richard, a native of Jennings, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away peacefully at Ochsner on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the age of 79. She retired from AT&T as a telephone operator after 40 years of service. She enjoyed reading, thrift shopping, collecting rocks and glass chickens, QVC, jewelry, and spending time with her family. Helen is survived by her children, Wendell Richard and his wife, Carla, Chester (Joseph) Richard and his wife, Tricia, and Marshall Richard and his wife, Chantelle; grandchildren, Danielle Richard and her husband, Levi, Brittni Page and her husband, Kenneth, Rendel Richard and his wife, Kaye, Nicholas Richard, Ellen Richard, Alexander Richard, Alexis Richard, and Kaden Richard; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Joe Comeaux, Dianne Reeves, Perry (Peter) Comeaux, and Denise Comeaux Fruge’; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Lee Richard; her parents; brother, Ray Comeaux; and sister, Jean Comeaux. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 11 a.m. until Graveside Service in Greenoaks Memorial Park at 2 p.m. celebrated by Roland Berry.
