
Heloise Marie Chauvin Robert died, surrounded by her family, the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, at Sherwood Manor Nursing Home in Baton Rouge. She was 87, a native of Donaldsonville and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Oct. 20, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane, on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment inGreenoaksMemorial Park. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard Charles Robert; and their daughters, Mary Anne Johnson of Baton Rouge, Cynthia Nassauer of Covington, Paulette Hebert and husband Leonard of Lafayette, and Roslyn Dugan and husband Bill of The Woodlands, Texas; her grandchildren, Bridgette Hebert, Christine Nassauer and Kyle Dugan; and siblings, Garland and Gloria (Sister Angela, Daughters of Charity) Chauvin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cora and Rene Chauvin; and five siblings. Her hobbies included quilting, crafting and traveling. She was a member of St. Thomas More Parish and itsTower Ministry, LouisianaHomemakers Association, Patchwork Pelicans Quilt Club, STM Quilters and the Louisiana Engineering Society Auxiliary. Prior to becoming a homemaker, she was employed by the Louisiana Welfare Department. The family wishes to thank Dr. Susan Nelson and the staff and friends at Sherwood Manor for their loving care and friendship. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge.
