Lynne Ricord, 64, a resident of Baton Rouge and a former resident of the Lafayette area, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully at home on Friday evening, June 1, 2007, following a battle with cancer. She was a native of Baton Rouge and a retired executive secretary. Lynne thoroughly enjoyed her family and there was nothing she loved more than to make sure that all who entered her home were well fed and entertained. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 19 years, Lewell Adrian Ricord. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Helen Ritter; and by her brother, John D. Ritter. She is survived by her daughter, Kasey L. O'Neal of Baton Rouge; her son, George M. "Duke" O'Neal III of Baton Rouge; her stepdaughter, Terri Lynn Klapko of Baltimore; her stepson, Charles David Ricord of Shreveport; her sister, Mary Anne Forbes of Mount Ida, Ark.; her beloved grandchildren, Ava Bailey O'Neal and Adrian Bowie O'Neal, both of Baton Rouge; and her stepgrandchildren, Ayrka, Steven and Andrew Klapko, all of Baltimore, Megan Ricord of Shreveport, Anthony Touchet of Lafayette and Shana of St. Martinville. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Sunday was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at Trinity Episcopal Church, where Lynne was a member, on Monday from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Graveside service at Trout Creek Cemetery in Call, Texas, at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
