Hinh Van Bui passed away peacefully at his home on February 16, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Vietnam on January 6, 1947, he immigrated to the United States in 1975, seeking a new life after the Vietnam War. He worked tirelessly throughout his life, embodying the spirit of a true "Jack of all trades." Hinh's boundless capabilities and unwavering work ethic allowed him to thrive, and he continued to work with dedication until his early 70s.
Hinh is survived by his beloved spouse, Vung Nguyen, their seven children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, and will be remembered for his strength, resilience, and determination towards life.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 2305 Choctaw Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70805 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA. 70815 on Friday, February 21st, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Burial will immediately follow Mass on Saturday in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
