A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Sunset, LA passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Colonial Care Retirement Center. He was 90. He was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visitation will be Monday July 2, 2012 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Ranzino, celebrant. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St. He is survived by his only son, Daryl J. Clay, of Baton Rouge and special family friends, Elden Cox and Leslie Rabalais. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Badeaux Clay, father, Joseph Warren Clay, Sr.; mother, Josephine Guilbeau Clay; sisters, Mary Pansy Clay Latiolais and Iday Clay LeBoeuf; and brothers, Donald Charles Clay, Sr., Ollen Anthony Clay, Joseph Warren Clay, Jr., and George Merlyn Clay, Sr. He was a parishioner of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
