
Jack Francis Messina, a retired businessman, passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at age 95. He was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Iberville Parish. He was a member of St. George Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. John and Pam Ragusa; two grandchildren and their spouses, Dr. Derek and Tracy Ragusa, and Ashley and Michael Dupree; four great-grandchildren, Kate and Grant Ragusa, and Douglas and Cooper Dupree; a sister, Mary Messina; and a brother, Tony Messina. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Cutrone Messina; four sisters, Rose Crochet, Lena Bonanno, Ann Sedito and Feleci Messina; and four brothers, Nicholas, Joseph, Frank and Michael Messina. Visitation will be at St. George Catholic Church on Monday, Nov. 22, starting at 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Michael Shatzle. Entombment to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Gerald Crochet, E.J. Crochet, Lawrence Crochet, Donald Crochet, Richard Nagy and Larry Bonanno. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. George Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
