Jack F. Messina

Jack Francis Messina, a retired businessman, passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at age 95. He was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Iberville Parish. He was a member of St. George Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. John and Pam Ragusa; two grandchildren and their spouses, Dr. Derek and Tracy Ragusa, and Ashley and Michael Dupree; four great-grandchildren, Kate and Grant Ragusa, and Douglas and Cooper Dupree; a sister, Mary Messina; and a brother, Tony Messina. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Cutrone Messina; four sisters, Rose Crochet, Lena Bonanno, Ann Sedito and Feleci Messina; and four brothers, Nicholas, Joseph, Frank and Michael Messina. Visitation will be at St. George Catholic Church on Monday, Nov. 22, starting at 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Michael Shatzle. Entombment to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Gerald Crochet, E.J. Crochet, Lawrence Crochet, Donald Crochet, Richard Nagy and Larry Bonanno.
