Jack William Shipley (Bill), 65, from Baton Rogue, died from complications of pneumonia on July 1, 2023. Bill was known for his love of family, his wife Gloria and her children and grandchildren. Daughter Pricilla Godbey and husband John Godbey. Grandsons, Oliver and Nathan Godbey from Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Son Ronaldo Gacula and wife Mary from Ocala, Florida. Grandson Zachary Gacula from Mankato, MN and Granddaughter, Margaret Gacula from Baton Rouge. Bill loved them as his own. He had the most genuine sense of humor and hardy “crowd pleasing” laugh. He is survived by his sister, Kate Shipley Murr and David from Greensboro, NC and son Alex Murr from Minneapolis, MN and brother Grant Shipley and Edie Rogers from Mandeville, Louisiana. The family has chosen to have a private ceremony at a later date. Rabenhorst Funeral Home in Baton Rouge is handling preparations.
