
"Jackie, age 75 began her eternal life on September 28, 2018 as she passed away at The Carpenter House with her family at her side. She was born October 7, 1942, the daughter of Edward F. and Leona R. Delorios. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, who cherished her family and friends. She enjoyed, traveling, fishing, water skiing, and sailing on "Happy Jack", but one of her most precious memories was dancing with her father. Jackie retired from the Baton Rouge Water Company in 1990 after 20 years of service to follow her husband who was employed in Southeast Asia. Thus, they traveled to and lived in Malaysia, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Australia and Singapore. She requests her friends to remember her as she was, during the many cheerful occasions they laughed and smiled together. Survived by her husband of 53 years Paul L. Allen; three sons, Michael D. Allen and wife Wendy Allen, Darin W. Allen and wife Michelle Allen, and Steven P. Allen; grandsons Charlie W. Allen and wife Brandi, and Kaden P. Allen: granddaughter Abigayle Allen; and great granddaughter Rylee Michelle Allen; and one sister Jeri D. Planche, two nieces Wanda Sanders, and husband Junior Sanders and Charlette Jones and husband Syd Jones; special friends Mike Doyle, Caroline Crochet, Randolph and Ann Ogden, Ray and Delores Clayton. The family thanks the doctors and nurses at the OLOL and The Carpenter House for their compassion and care provided to Jackie. A memorial service will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd. with visitation beginning at 2:00pm and a memorial service to follow at 3:00pm Sunday September 30, 2018.
