"Hardy was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Brusly. He passed away at his home, Sunday, January 29, 2017 at age 78. He was a U.S. Airforce veteran and retired from Louisiana Wholesale Florist. Hardy is survived by his wife Bettie Louise Bennett; daughter, Mary Mitchell; stepdaughters, Denise Seymour, and husband Mickey, Roxane Smith, and husband Earl, and Rhonda Lamana, and husband Morris; brother, Cecil Bennett and wife Joyce; sisters, Louise Anselmo and Winnie Smith and husband Mike; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers, and one great grandson. Visiting will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Wednesday, February 1, 2017, from 9:00 am until services at 11:00 am conducted by his grandson, Chip Seymour. Interment will follow Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great grandsons.
