
A resident and native of Baton Rouge, he died Friday, April 4, 2008, as a result of an automobile accident. He was 31. He is survived by his parents, Pat and Cherie Giblin, of Baton Rouge; twin sister, Janay Matt, of Natchitoches; fiancée Allison Graves; paternal grandparent, P.W. "Foots" Giblin; maternal grandparent, Geneva Griffith; niece, McCall Marie Matt; aunt, Kathy Giblin Townsend; uncles and aunts, Leslie and Peggy Griffith, and Lloyd and JonAnn Giblin; godparents, CJ and Vicki Broussard; other relatives and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Johnnie Marie Giblin; and maternal grandfather, D.W. Griffith. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, April 6, was from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation continues at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park immediately following religious service. Pallbearers will be Fritz Carville, Ryan Engquist, Scott Giblin, Lee Greer, Jared Griffith, Luke Simms, Brandon Taylor and Jamey Townsend. Honorary pallbearers are Kyle Breedlove, Trey Crawford, Bart Evans and Chip Robert. Jay was a graduate of Catholic High School in Baton Rouge and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. He was a project manager of Signature Homes, an avid outdoorsman and LSU fan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Dream Day Foundation, P.O.
