Janis Robert Jordan

"Janis Robert Jordan a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2018 in Baton Rouge at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 93 years old, a native of New Roads and a resident of Baton Rouge. He retired from ExxonMobil Chemical with 43 years of service, was a Navy veteran, and a member of St Thomas More Catholic Church. Visitation is at St. Thomas More Catholic Church from 10:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am with interment to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife of 73 years Genevieve LeBeau Jordan, a daughter and son-in-law Dottie and Jim Liddell, two sons and daughters-in-law Steve and Judy Jordan, Malcolm and Beverly Jordan, seven grandchildren Jennifer Liddell Barfoot, Jessica Liddell Cronin, Lara Jordan Gardiner, Bryan Jordan, Kevin Jordan, Gail Jordan, and Randall Jordan, and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles K. Jordan, a brother Charles M. Jordan, four sisters Estelle Brousseau, Camille Romans , Virginia Roberts and Earnestine Post, and great grandson Riley Gardiner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
