Jeannette Dougherty Gorsch

Jeannette Dougherty Gorsch, 76, of Baton Rouge, passed away in her home on December 3, 2023. She was born on July 3, 1947 and grew up in Central. A loving mother, grandma, and friend of many, her contagious smile and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jeannette’s favorite things were laughing at comedy movies with her grandson, playing board games, visiting her precious friends, and watching LSU football like a true lifelong Louisiana resident. She is survived by her daughter Michelle Gorsch Hunt; sons Shane and Stephen Gorsch; grandchildren Justin Gorsch, Lacey Hunt, Christian Gorsch, Aidan Gorsch, and Sarah Cote; and brother Tommy Dougherty. She is preceded in death by her parents Alvie Dougherty Jr and Joyce Clark Dougherty. The family would love to offer special thanks to all the friends she made at Dumas House, her supportive community over the last decade. A Memorial service will be held December 8, 2023 at The Way Church 9270 Cockerham Rd, Denham Springs, La 70726. Visitation will begin at 2pm with service to follow at 3pm.

A visitation for Jeannette will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at The Way Church Denham Springs, 9270 Cockerham Rd., Denham Springs, LA 70706, followed by a funeral services at 3:00 PM.
