Jeffery Thomas Rushing

Jeffrey Thomas Rushing a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Gonzales, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the age of 24. He was born on July 24, 1993 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Jeffrey was the son of Lindley Rushing and Jeffrey T. Brown. He had a wonderful smile with a heart to match. He was a loving and kind young man with a generous spirit. He was loved deeply by his family and he shared the same deep feelings for them. He will be sorely missed by anyone who knew him and his place in our hearts will never be replaced. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his mother, Lindley Rushing; maternal grandmother, Debra Mancuso. Jeffrey is survived by his father, Jeffrey T. Brown; a sister, Victoria L. Brown; brothers, Emmitt Matthews; sisters Toni and Grace Matthews; paternal grandparents, Thomas H. Brown and Cathy S. Brown; maternal grandfather, Rick Mancuso; aunts, Toni Mancuso and Aimee Schilf and husband Bill Schilf ; niece Gabriella Mancuso; numerous cousins and other relatives. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 12 pm until funeral service begins at 2 pm, officiated by Matt Bender with The Church International. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
