Jennifer Ophelia Greaud

Jennifer Ophelia Greaud, age 59, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, August 03, 2025. Born June 12, 1966, Jenny was a native of Port Allen and a resident of New Roads. Jenny is the youngest child born to Alfred and Lula Mae Greaud. She enjoyed old fashion hobbies such as sewing, crocheting, quilting and could bake some of the best, melt in your mouth homemade yeast rolls than anyone. She learned to cook a lot like our Mama; not only did her food look and taste like Mama’s, but it also smelled like hers too! Brought back so many cherished memories. During our parents’ latter years Jenny dedicated her life to taking care of them and providing for their needs. About 15 years ago, Jenny was diagnosed with cancer; fought it, went into remission for 11 years. The cancer came back with a vengeance, but Jenny fought bravely and courageously till the end. She never complained, never lost faith and kept her sense of humor.

Jenny is survived by her siblings and their spouses Marie (Herbert) Trujillo, Alfred Greaud III, Joe Greaud, Deborah (Peter) Tullier, Bonnie Greaud, Emily Greaud, Cindy Miller, Stephanie (Buddy) Partin and numerous nieces and nephews. Jenny is preceded in death by her parents Alfred Greaud Jr. and Lula Mae Chustz Greaud, and sister Donna Greaud.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral service to be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA. 70815 on Thursday, August 7th, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held from 8:30 AM until 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
