
Vice president of commercial lending at Hancock Bank and a resident of Greenwell Springs, he died Monday, July 7, 2008. He was 63, a native of Baton Rouge and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, July 9, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting continues at the funeral home chapel on Thursday from 10 a.m. until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Louis Boyd. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Kaye Harvey Hamilton; mother, Neva M. Hamilton; daughter and son-in-law, Angela Hamilton Landry and Russell Landry; son, David W. Hamilton; sister, Elizabeth Hamilton Fowler; two grandchildren, Caroline and Cameron Landry; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Clyde P. Hamilton; brother, John Lewis Hamilton; and sister, Virginia H. Duncan. Pallbearers will be Gary Aydell, Russell Landry, Jimmy Plauche, Larry Rogers, Ronnie Harvey and Gene Conerly. Honorary pallbearers are Glenn Aydell, Scott Bailey, Dale Harvey, Wylie Harvey, Jonathan Fowler and Bill Tribaldos. Jerry was a graduate of LSU and a member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church, treasurer of Brave Heart - Children in Need and a member of the Chamber of Commerce and C.C.A.
