Jimmy Ray Dentro Sr.

“Gone but not forgotten” Jimmy Ray Dentro Sr. went to rest with the Lord on January 9, 2014. Jimmy was a resident of Denham Springs and graduate of Glenn Oaks high school. He was an employee of Vaughan Roofing and member of the local sheet metal union. He was a family oriented man who was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going to the casino. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who is survived by his wife, Rebecca Dentro; two sons, Jimmy Ray Dentro Jr. and Samuel Free; daughter, Angel Dentro Taylor and husband Joseph Taylor Jr.; step daughters, Demi Dentro, Kristi Innis, and Stacy Innis; step son, Michael Smith; grandchildren, Nathan Durnin, Kade Taylor, Kate Dentro, and one on the way; sister, Patty Dentro Bessinger; brother, Paul Dentro and wife Nancy; godparents, Theresa Polotzola and Joseph Gioele; sister in law, Avery Guercio and numerous nieces and nephews who he cherished. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Yander Dentro; father, Sidney Anthony Dentro Sr.; two brothers, Ben Dentro and Sidney Anthony Dentro Jr.; grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held Sunday January 12, 2014 at Greenoaks Funeral Home from 5PM-9PM and will resume Monday, January 13, 2014 from 10 until Funeral Service at 12PM. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Paul Dentro, Joseph Taylor Jr., Randy Bessinger, Scotty Dentro, Mark Hughes, and Billy Bessinger Sr.
