Retired from the Louisiana Purchasing Department and resident and native of Baton Rouge, Jimmy passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at Lakewood Quarters. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 11 a.m. until service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Hawley Wolfe. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Jimmy is survived by his sister, JoAnn Branscum and husband Doug; brother, Walker Young Forbes Jr. and wife Marion; niece, Cristin Ponjuan; and three nephews, Johnny and Steven Pate and Clayton Forbes. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Walker Young Forbes Sr.; and mother, Idell McDougald Forbes. Jimmy was musically inclined and also enjoyed painting and drawing.
