Jo Ann Broussard

JoAnn “Cissie” Teed Broussard passed away peacefully at her home on February 23, 2023. She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas July 10, 1950 to Albert and Babe Teed. Her family moved to Baton Rouge when she was a young child where she lived the majority of her life. She was a 1968 graduate of Central High School.

Cis was a fierce lover of all animals, especially dogs and was always looking for a way to help God’s creatures. She had the greenest thumb and could grow anything in her show place of a backyard. She was the most amazing wife, daughter, sister, aunt, Nanny and friend anyone could have, that person who would drop anything to help you, who never missed a chance to cheer on her Tigers, Saints or raise the American flag in honor of our nation, and certainly never met a stranger.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Durell “Skippy” Broussard, sister Kim Chapman (Donald), brother Tom Teed (Sheryle), a host of nieces, nephews and godchildren who she loved as her own, and her beloved dog Archie who is the sweetest spoiled pup in the world because of the love she and Skippy gave him.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Babe Teed, brother Danny Teed and a large group of cherished dogs she loved over the years.

Services will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70815 on Thursday March 2, 2023. Visitation will be held from 9-11 with service to follow at 11.
