Joann Acaldo Adams

Joanne Acaldo Adams, age 60, a native of Sunshine, LA, and a resident of Springfield, LA, departed this life peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at her home. Family is invited to attend a family viewing from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016, followed by a public viewing from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., mass at 11 a.m., and burial and reception to follow at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 32625 LA 75, St. Gabriel, LA 70776. Joanne was a Nascar enthusiast and huge fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr. She was also a devoted wife to Richard "Bubba" Adams, a retiree of Exxon Mobil in Baton Rouge, mother to Christy Adams and Kelly Dennis, and NaNa to Drew Conques and Chloe Dennis. Joanne is survived by her husband, Richard "Bubba" Adams; daughters and son-in-law, Christy Adams, and Jason and Kelly Dennis; grandchildren, Drew Conques and Chloe Dennis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jay and Dottie Acaldo, Johnny and Yvonne Acaldo, and Bobby and Carey Acaldo; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Celina Acaldo; father and Exxon Mobil retiree Joe Acaldo, a sister, Betty Breaux; and niece, Deanna Lynn Breaux.
