

John was a native of Donaldsonville, LA, and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was born March 4, 1929 and passed away at 3:30 p.m. June 24, 2016 at age 87. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Kleinpeter Farms Dairy. A member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, he ushered at the 11:00 a.m. Mass for 25 years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his six children, John LeBlanc, Jr., and wife Lou Day, Julie Ourso and husband Richard, Jamie Hebert, Jill Brady and husband Scott, Janet Branch and husband Todd and Jerry LeBlanc and wife Wendy; grandchildren, Britni Dawson and husband Johnathon, John LeBlanc, III, Chad Armond and wife Sharlena, Christy Harrison and husband Gordon, Kyle Ourso, Mark Ourso, Michael Wicker and wife Kris, Ryan Wicker, Connor Brady, Jack Brady, Bo Branch, Claire Branch, Abigail LeBlanc, Amelia LeBlanc and Alyse LeBlanc and great grandchildren, Keegan Dawson, Cullen Dawson, Jules Dawson, Landon Armond, Christian Harrison, Addie Harrison, Kaden Wicker and Hunter Wicker. He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Iona "Polo" LeBlanc, his parents, Willie and Olivia LeBlanc, brothers, Willie LeBlanc, Edward LeBlanc, Lawrence LeBlanc, and Lloyd LeBlanc, and sisters, Adele Prejean and Elizabeth Falcon. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Avenue, from 10:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. We would like to thank the entire staff of Sunrise on Siegen Lane. It has been a journey but Daddy is finally at rest with our mother. Also a special thanks to the staff at The Baton Rouge General Emergency Room and 5th floor in addition to The Crossing at Clarity Hospice.
