
A native of Thomasville, Ala., and a resident of Denham Springs, he died at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at Harvest Manor Nursing Home. He was 96, a retired funeral director and a retired neon glass blower. John faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Graveside services will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Friday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Dr. Terry Booth. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and James Pech, of Prattville, Ala.; son and daughter-in-law, John Dean and Carol Bagley, of Denham Springs; two sisters, Ann Hudnall, of Bartlett, Tenn., and Mary Elizabeth Davis, of Meridian, Miss.; four grandchildren and their spouses, Sheryl and Brent Parker, Janice and Scott Martino, Jamie and Frank Koscho, and John Stephen and Karla Bagley; and great-grandchildren, Catie Grace, Madison and Caleb Parker, Samantha and Mackenzie Koscho, Drew and Bryce Martino, Austin and Lauryn Bagley, and Dustin and Dylan Boyd. Preceded in death by his wife, Elmarie Lacy Bagley; a daughter, Barbara Jean Bagley; two sisters, Ina Mae Bagley and Alice Ruth Gammill; and three brothers, Edwin, Leon and Ira Bagley. He was a member of Ingleside United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
