John James Townsend, a loving father, grandfather, and brother passed away Monday March 4, 2013 at the age of 62. He was born February 7, 1952 in Dallas, Tx. He is survived by a son Jamey Townsend and wife Michelle; grandson Griffin; brother Mike Townsend and wife Judy. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Beth Townsend. Visitation and memorial service at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. on Thursday, March 7, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Johnny was a graduate of Lee High School class of 1969 where he was a member of the football team. He was also a veteran, serving 2 years in the USMC. He was an avid LSU football fan, as well as loving any chance to enjoy a fun time with family and friends.
