"John Thomas Simmons passed away on April 9, 2020 in Baton Rouge, LA. He was born November 18, 1941 in Helena, Arkansas to Nedgie Lee Stubbs and John Augustus Simmons and was a resident of Baton Rouge since 1968. A retired Instrument Technician for Copolymer "“ Baton Rouge, he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Darlene Angle Simmons. He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law "“ Denise and Eric Newman; one sister "“ Yvonne Delaune; six grandchildren "“ Amy, Kay, Tod, Casey, Cody, Jessica; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter "“ Deanna Lyn, and one brother "“ Jim Simmons. Private services were held in Baker, LA at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens which concluded with interment at the mausoleum.
